Dress regulations

Our dress regulations are as follows:

  • Soft spiked golf shoes are compulsory
  • A collared shirt (skivvies are acceptable) and tailored shorts, trousers or skirt are required
  • Board shorts, football shorts, drawstring pants, denim jeans or shorts and swimwear are not acceptable attire

 

Clearwater is aptly named. Its fifteen hectares of lakes are fed by an abundance of natural springs and crystal clear trout-filled streams.



On site at Clearwater is Jonathan Pasley, a professional fly fishing teacher & fishing guide. For the novice, Jonathan can introduce you to New Zealand fly fishing at Clearwater.

Beginners and experts can enjoy the finest fishing in high country streams, lakes and rivers or oceans, all within easy reach of Clearwater. A full range of equipment is available for hire, for groups or individuals.

Public Walking Trails
Nine kilometres of walking tracks span the perimeter of Clearwater’s championship golf course, as well as ecological heritage sites such as The Groynes Recreation Reserve and adjoining farmland alongside aquifer-fed lakes and the Otukaikino Stream, with expansive views of the Southern Alps beyond.
